On the 13th of September 1961 “A” Company, 35th Battalion of the Irish Army was attacked and what would become know as the Siege of Jadotville had started.
From the 13th to the 17th of September 1961 “A” company endure almost continuous and sustained attack from a force with far superior numbers.
This is an important part of Irish military history and its past time we recognise the soldiers of “A” Company.
It’s never too late to do the right thing.
