Last Tuesday, I was thrilled to witness the official opening of the long-awaited Athy Distributor Road.
I want to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to all those who have dedicated their time and efforts to this project over the years.
I’m particularly proud of the contributions made by current and past members of my own party, Labour Party, who played a significant role in making this road a reality.
Credit also goes to the dedicated officials at Kildare County Council for their hard work in bringing this project to fruition.
The impact of this new road on Athy has been remarkable.
It has transformed our hometown, alleviating traffic congestion and opening up new opportunities for business and growth.
Athy is now poised for a positive future, that we must all support.
Have a listen to my contribution in the Seanad today.
